My top beauty products: November

I’m lucky enough to try and test lots of different beauty products. But only a few make it to my dressing table – here are my top picks for November…

Tom Ford Eye Defining Liquid Liner Pen

This comes first because it is, hands down, my favourite product of the month, potentially (this is big, guys!) of the YEAR!

I wear eyeliner every day. So much so that my mum says I look weird without it. I’ve been using Kat Von D’s Tattoo Liner in Trooper for a while – it’s great, has amazing precision and is super long-lasting. But I got my hands on Tom Ford’s Eye Defining Pen recently and I don’t think I can ever look back!

Featuring two applicators for the jet black, glossy liner, it draws on super precisely and does.not.budge. It doesn’t bleed either – something I’ve never experienced from an eyeliner before.

Ok so there is a downfall – it costs £43, which is pretty damn expensive. But if your eyeliner is important to you and you want it totally perfect, I reckon it’s a super worthwhile investment.

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara

This has been giving my lashes all sorts of life. It’s so dark and dramatic – which is everything I want in a mascara. It takes a little longer to dry than the average mascara, but well worth the wait.

Yves Saint Laurent Dessin Des Lèvres Lip Liner

I count myself pretty good at make-up, but mastering lips is something that still manages to evade me. It just never looks like those flawless Instagram snaps – until now! This white lip liner is to be used around the lips to help outline, redefine and, most importantly, stop bleeding. Suddenly my pout is a lot more perfected!

Estee Lauder Modern Muse Nuit

This latest addition to the award-winning Modern Muse family is stunning – deeper and darker than the original (which is one of my favourite fragrances), Nuit is intoxicating and mysterious.

Marc Jacobs Air Blush

I haven’t been overly impressed by a new blusher for a while but this one is MAGIC! Its texture is silky and soft, and gives skin a beautiful, glowy finish that doesn’t look powdered. This is really good for someone who doesn’t like shimmer in their blusher but wants a gorgeous glow.

Bobbi Brow Glow to Go Blush & Illuminate

I love this duo. Comprising the brand’s French Pink Blush and Platinum Sparkle Illuminator, it transforms your face with its pop of colour and touch of shimmer… All in a handy, party-friendly gold mini compact!

ghd V copper luxe styler

If I’m not curling my hair, I run over it with a ghds to get a more glossy finish. And with the new trend for everything copper, this luxe version of the iconic styling tool is sprucing up my dressing table a treat!

Too Faced Born This Way Concealer

As a diehard fan of Born This Way Foundation, I was super excited to try the new concealer. And guys it is SO GOOD! It’s formulated with many of the same ingredients as the foundation – coconut water, hyaluronic acid and alpine rose – it’s hydrating, brightening and doesn’t settle into fine lines (pretty much every woman’s pet peeve!).

MAC Liptensity in Claretcast

MAC has released their most intense lip colour range ever – Liptensity. What I love about this new offering is that it provides a long-lasting, pigmented look without drying the lips like a normal liquid lipstick or lip stain. This is currently in my handbag at all times.

Estée Lauder Sultry Nudes

You can create an endless array of gorgeous, subtle looks with these 14 gorgeous shades in the new Estée Lauder palette. The super silky powders feel rich and creamy, making them really easy to work with. It’s become my go-to palette.

Marc Jacobs Re(Marc)able Cover Foundation

Richly pigmented yet lightweight, you can get full coverage with just a tiny bit of this foundation.

It’s the tiniest bit too heavy for my liking so I mix it with a drop of Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Oil on my Beauty Blender to get a more dewy finish and it lasts all day – it’s a really good foundation.

Zoeva Strobe Gel

I’m finding myself moving away from powder highlighters so was excited to get my hands on this strobe gel… I wasn’t disappointed. A gorgeous, radiant shimmer gel, it instantly lifts your complexion. I’m hooked.

Very disappointed with GHD. I have – sorry, had – their Eclipse straighteners and they broke. Guess what? You can’t get them repaired so they’ll give me a whole £10 off a new pair. Shocking for both my purse and the environment.
