Victoria Beckham x Esteé Lauder Review & Swatches

Ermmm YAS. This is exciting. Two of my favourite things, fashion and beauty, coming together in a MAJOR way.

I love Victoria Beckham. And I love Esteé Lauder, so this collaboration is very cool indeed… Made even cooler by the fact that I got a handwritten letter from the designer herself when I received the collection! Little Alfie (one of our new kittens!) loved it too… He crashed the photoshoot but made it way better so I included a pic of him too, obvs.

I’ve tried three of the new products from the collection out here… Let me know what you think/if there’s anything else in particular from the line that you’d like me to review!

First up, the packaging. It’s chic, slick, luxe – very VB. The lipstick is my personal favourite, it’s understated but beautiful at the same time.

Much like Victoria’s fashion collections, the products are all very wearable and flattering. They’re the kind of products that you’ll want in your make-up bag forever – at least, I will! #VBfan4ever

I started with the Morning Aura Illuminating Creme (£68) in the gold bottle. This is part moisturiser, part brightening primer and uses micro-pearls to illuminate and brighten the complexion.

I love this stuff because it’s a great multi-tasker – being perennially time-stretched (!), I get a bit impatient having to use moisturiser and primer on before applying make-up, so this kills two birds with one stone. And it works a treat – my skin felt refreshed and illuminated, and it made for the perfect pre-make-up base.

Next up, the Eye Foils (£28). This liquid formula gives an intense vinyl-like shine, and I used the Blonde Gold. So this felt a tiny bit Christmassy… But I loved it. I find it quite difficult to apply evenly, but perhaps that’s because I didn’t use a primer beforehand (I always forget this step).

Now for my favourite bit – the lipstick! This shade is Chilean Sunset (£36) and it is bold, bright and really beautiful. A spicy red, it’s very Estée Lauder and it made me feel uber glam. Plus, it withstood a good few rounds of Friday night drinks, all while keeping my lips moisturised.
